City crews will hit the streets this week putting up nearly 300 signs around greater grand forks to help residents identify stopping points for cities area transit. The bus signs will also include route numbers as transportation officials fine-tune and implement a stop vs flag-down system. The goal is to improve on-time performance.
“Cat” boss dale bergman says cities area transit is on a pace to exceed last year’s record ridership of 371-thousand-243 passengers. Ridership in 2013 is up by some eleven-hundred over one year ago.
The new signs cost around 23-thousand dollars to produce.
