This year’s flu season already has a deadly side to it. The North Dakota Health Department reports a man over the age of 65 has died from complications associated with influenza. North Dakota has confirmed 175 flu cases this season. Influenza Surveillance Coordinator Lindsey VanderBusch says the best defense is a flu shot. Vanderbusch says despite the advice many people go without. Just over 25-percent of kids have received a flu shot this season. The victim who died was from the northeast corner of the state.
