Election day is finally here! North Dakota and Minnesota voters are going to the polls to decide races for U-S senate…house…various legislative seats. North Dakota voters will also elect a governor. In Grand Forks County there’s a race forcounty commission. East Grand Forks voters will elect a mayor…council seats…and select school board members.
In 2008 a total of 31-thousand-464 ballots were cast in Grand Forks County. Polls in North Dakota are open until seven p-m. In Minnesota the polls close at eight p-m.
Nearly 130-thousand North Dakotans and some 235-thousand Minnesotans cast ballots prior to election day.
