More students are hitting the books in east grand forks this school year. The preliminary opening day numbers suggests one-thousand-760 students showed up K-to-twelve -- up 18 from one year ago. school superintendent david pace says one noticeable area of growth has been in all-day kindergarten. Pace says the district may have to hire another instructor to keep class sizes in line..
high school students will notice some physical changes at senior high. a number of renovations were made to the 1963 building including moving the office to the west main entrance. on the curriculum front district 595 has added an engineering based curriculum for high school students with emphasis on science…engineering…math…and technology.
This year’s enrollment is the largest since the 2003-2004 school year.
