EGF Pool

The East Grand Forks City Council continued discussions last night about what to do with the city’s aging outdoor pool.  Consultants have presented the council with six options ranging from a simple fix starting at one-point-five million dollars to a more advanced six million dollar proposal with added attractions.  The big question is how to pay for the project.   City leaders have not ruled out a public vote on the plan.  Councilman Greg Leigh says he favors a lower cost option because it’s hard to justify spending millions on a pool that is only two months a year.   The council will mull things over again in a couple of weeks.
