east grand forks is hoping to be included in the governor's 2014 bonding bill -- not once but twice. The city is seeking 20-million dollars to help build a new waste water treatment facility and 250-thousand to improve camp ground sites in the red river state recreation area. Friday was the deadline for making an application to the state. State senator Leroy stumpf says it’s always good to make the governor’s wish-list. He says lawmakers will begin visiting the potential sites this fall.
Stumpf says there seems to be some support for increasing the size of the bonding package in the coming years.
stumpf chairs the senate capital investment committee.
