The city of East Grand Forks is looking to scrap its ordinance regulating adult businesses in favor of a writing a new one. City administrator Scott Huizenga says the discussion last year about the location of an adult shop prompted the city in part to take a second look at the regulations. Huizenga says the idea is to not only clarify existing law but define adult business use. The city will implement a 60 day moratorium on adult / sexually oriented businesses until the new ordinance is adopted. The city council will be asked to approve the change.
