CVB Survey
February 21, 2013

What drives Canadian visitors to come to Grand Forks? According to the results of a 2013 Convention and Visitors Bureau survey shopping still tops the list. The survey says 77-percent of respondents claim the lure of retail brings to Greater Grand Forks – a weekend getaway was next on the list. The CVB’s Julie Rygg says the results haven’t changed much over the years but visitors are spending more when they get here. Sixty-percent of visitors spend between 250 and 750 dollars per trip. Twenty-five percent will spend between 750 and 15-hundred dollars per visit. The CVB distributed nearly 25-hundred surveys and had a response rate of 19-percent.
