After 55 years in the industry long-time broadcaster Jim Bollman will be leaving the KNOX airwaves next week. Bollman has been a mainstay of Grand Forks mornings since 1967. He will retire following his program on Tuesday. He admits radio has changed over the years thanks to increasing technology. Bollman says some of his most memorable radio moments involve play-by-play of UND sports. One of the things Bollman says he’ll miss is sharing information with listeners. Earlier this year Bollman opted not to run for another term on the GF Park Board and no longer serves on the Grand Forks Planning and Zoning Commisison. As for the future Bollman says he’ll remain active in the community but he also plans to spend a little more time at the lake.
