The results are in - and they're not very encouraging for American high-school graduates who took the ACT college entrance exam earlier this year. The national average in 2013 is 20.9 -- down from 21.1 in 2012.
North Dakota’s average composite was 20.5 while Minnesota test takers scored a 23. North Dakota students were below the national marks for english…reading…math…and matched those for science. Overall only 23-percent of North Dakota students met all four benchmarks in key subject areas. In Minnesota 39-percent hit the mark.
