Minnesota earns an "A," a "B" and two "F's" in the latest "State of Tobacco Control" report card.  The "A" is for smoke-free air and the "B" comes after a dollar-60 increase in the cigarette tax. 
north Dakota received two “a’s” a “c” for cessation and an “f” for having one of the lowest cigarette taxes in the nation – just 44 cents.   it’s estimated that over 19-percent of minnesota and north dakota high school students smoke.

High School Smoking Rate: 19.4%
Middle School Smoking Rate: 5.8%
