3-1-1 Service

There’s a new way to get in touch with the city ofgrand forks– dial 3-1-1.   the new call system will put you through to the Public Information Office.   Residents are encouraged to use the three digit number to report everything from pot holes…and street light repairs…to general questions.   John Bernstrom of the info office says the new system will allow the city to better track incoming calls.  Bernstrom says there was a one time cost of less than a thousand dollars to get the system up and running.   The office is staffed Monday through Friday 8am to 5 pm…..or you can leave a message anytime.   An information campaign on the 3-1-1 system is expected to be launched in the coming weeks.
