North Dakota freshman goalie Zane Gothberg has garnered weekly honors from the Western Collegiate Hockey Association (WCHA).
One week after being named WCHA Rookie of the Week, Gothberg today was named WCHA Defensive Player of the Week for his performance in UND's road sweep at No. 14 Nebraska Omaha last weekend. The Thief River Falls, Minn., native held the league's top-scoring offense to just three goals on 65 shots, registering a 1.50 goals against average and a .954 save percentage in the series.
