Major Winter Storm Possible Sunday Night and Monday
Another storm is expected to develop over the Pacific Northwest this weekend and move into the Dakotas on Sunday. An abundance of moisture is expected to accompany this system. While the track of the surface low and the heaviest accumulations is still in question, there is an increasing chance for snowfall totals in excess of 6 inches across eastern North Dakota and northwest and west central Minnesota. There is also the threat for significant blowing and drifting snow, with travel problems likely late Sunday night and Monday. Please stay tuned to the National Weather Service this weekend for updates on this potentially hazardous winter storm.
