The Chancellor of the North Dakota University System says it’s ironic that Fargo Senator Tony Grindberg is drafting an amendment to try and buy him out his contract. Ham Shirvani says he recalls seeing quotes from Grindberg before he was hired that the senator was concerned about him being heavy handed on the job.
Shirvani says he is shocked by the move to oust him.
Higher Ed Board President Duaine Espegard says there are certain dakotalawmakers that have been trying to get rid of Shirvani since day one. He says the only group that can do that it the board itself.
Espegard says Shirvani has 100-percent support of the board.
