ND Tax Rebates
February 12, 2013

North Dakotans won’t be getting a 400 dollar rebate after the state house rejected the tax relief measure. The bill would have granted an income tax credit to anyone 18-years or older who was a resident of the state for the entire taxable year. The cost of the bill to the state was estimated at around 212-million dollars. Bill sponsor Representative Eliot Glassheim of Grand Forks says there are a number of tax relief measures being considered but this is the most prudent and transparent.
The bill was defeated on a 62-24 vote.
