Blizzard Conditions Will Continue through Tonight

Blizzard conditions will develop by early afternoon in the southern Red River Valley and continue through tonight.  Heavy snow is expected along and south of the I-94 corridor from southeast North Dakota into west central Minnesota, where a foot or more of snow is expected. There is still some question on how far north and west the snow from this system will get, but it appears the more signifcant snow will fall along and east of a line from Roseau to Grand Forks to Cooperstown to Jamestown.  Winds will increase from the north at 20 to 35 mph with higher gusts this evening into early Monday with the strongest winds in the southern Red River valley where blizzard conditions will be most severe.  Winds will diminish Monday afternoon.  Stay tuned to further forecast updates on this system.
