Some county canvassing boards in North Dakota will begin the process of certifying this week’s election on Friday while others will wait until next Tuesday. It’s the next step in deciding who officially won the U-S Senate race between Heidi Heitkamp and Rick Berg. Heitkamp holds a two-thousand-994 vote lead in unofficial returns. Berg conceded the race today with one condition -- the board doesn’t uncover any unforeseen problems. Secretary of State Al Jaeger says the state board will review the numbers November 16th. An automatic recount can occur if the vote differential is one-half of one-percent or less. A total of 324-thousand-597 ballots were cast on Tuesday.
