GF Seeks AG Opinion

Grand Forks will seek an attorney general’s opinion on whether to grant the Grand Forks Housing Authority a 2011 tax abatement.  At issue is whether property owned by the authority and not used for low to moderate income purposes in taxable or not.   The City Board of Equalization previously denied the exemption.  The 2012 state Board of Equalization approved the request.  The amount is question is some 46-thousand dollars.
