The Grand Forks Sheriff’s Department has a new tool in the battleto deter young people from drinking and driving. The GFSO has purchased a so-called Drunk Buster Pedal Kart. The "kart" allows participants to maneuver through a simulated driving course “sober” and then drunk wearing vision impaired goggles. Sheriff Bob Rost says the goal is to show the effects of making poor decisions that could haunt someone for the rest of their lives. The GFSO will roll out the drunk kart for UND students to try during an event in early November.
