Wastewater and sewer fees in East Grand Forks will climb a combined nine dollars a month starting in 2022.
The plan approved by the city council last night (Tuesday) would bump wastewater rates five dollars and storm water rates by four dollars. Under the scenario two dollars of the increase respectively would go towards replacement costs – including when street repairs are involved.
The council supported the enterprise fund portion of the increase unanimously. Members voted six to one on the infrastructure replacement hike.
